Today's offering features an uncommon Connoisseur of Time Certified Pre-Owned ref. 6605 Datejust made in 1959. Produced in limited numbers in the mid-1950's, these early Datejust model watches are very fine and desirable.

Featuring clean lines and a sharp look, this watch embodies Rolex's timeless class. To us, when it comes to elegance and refinement, the Rolex "pie-pan" dial models from the late 50's through the '60's and '70's were front-runners of the period.

Housed in one of Rolex's large, water-tight Oyster cases, the wristwatch offered its owner protection against water, dust, and perspiration. Inside the case Rolex placed their robust officially certified chronometer Cal. 1065 automatic movement.

The watch has a great classic early Datejust look and the differences between standard 1601's and this watch can be judged on the wrist.

It is in pleasing condition.

Its stainless steel case with finely fluted bezel is in better than excellent condition. Its untouched original silver "pie pan" dial with baton indices is in excellent condition with light aging and has gently warmed to a very light sepia tone. Its hands and crown are all original. Its Rolex Jubilee bracelet is later period. It has a couple of light pin prick indentions in the clasp - otherwise it presents as just short of mint with very little stretch.

One of our Master Watchmakers, who used to be the watchmaker for an authorized Rolex dealer and was given special training by Rolex at their Beverly Hills Service Center to be an authorized Rolex watchmaker, has inspected the watch and performed any needed servicing. It is running strong and true.

Included with the purchase is a one-year C.O.T. international warranty on the movement and its function, a full-page custom printed Connoisseur of Time Certificate of Authenticity, and a new timing certificate.
