This sisal trivet is woven by artisans in Gitarama, Rwanda. The women gather sisal plants, extract the fibers, then hand-dye and weave them into these beautiful works of art. 

In addition serving as elegant trivets for warm food, they can also be hung as wall art. Each trivet comes with a string attached to the back and you can combine with other trivets and baskets for a stunning wall art display.
